I really like the size adjuster on the back of the Giro helmets, it makes them fit well. It's easy to adjust with no thumb screws like some other brands.

yes I agree VERY easy. Hopefully this weekend ride with my buddy will yield good results.

BTW do you have any suggestions for pedal? I was wondering if there were any pedals that could be used as both platform and clipless. lets say I feel like using clipless today and platform tomorrow without having to switch it.

Crank bro's Mallet pedals. You can get the M's (magnesium) for lighter, but the C's are probably fine. Include the egg beater in the middle and metal platform all around...

I even remembered to include the link from STR to Jenson

Hubby did some DJing (dirt jumping, not disc jockeying) on his awhile back. I wasn't there, so not sure how it went

They won't be as good of platforms as something like the CB 50/50's, or the Specialized Mag Low Pro's, but when you want both world's something's gotta suffer.

They work well as clipless pedals, and still have the grip for platforms.

Mallets will not work well as flats. What Mallets do for you is for example in a race, you take off the inside foot for a fast corner and when you put your foot back on, you might not hit the cleat right on the first pedal rotation. The Mallet gives you enough area to hit SOMETHING and not wind up losing the pedal altogether. Some guys use them unclipped for technical balance type stuff (i did this for riding skinnies before).

Mallets let you get the power down like all clipless pedals, and give you some wiggle room for when you are not clipped in, but are not as good as flats and shouldn't be used as flats IMO.

Hmm, well there you go!

You may want to start a new thread on this topic, or even PM denmother. I think she uses a Shimano pedal that is clipless/platform and may be better suited.

dang so it seems you cant really have the best of both world..

everyone seems to ride clipless, but I always want the option for a quick bail. Riding BMX made me realise that.
