That beer ages well, so the 2006 should be tasty. Nice find. And $2 is such a steal for any bomber, let alone one that is $5 or $6 regular price.

While we're talking about beer, here's the beer I serve. Not bad for an Italian joint, IMO. Sorry for the crazy font(s), copy and paste from microsoft word doesn't work out too well.

(snif) Perhaps we could put together a dictionary of mountain biking language so we all know to say "baby head" and "yard sale" on the trail when speaking amongst our selves....

I digress.

Welcome, Reg.
What ever happened to Jeff the Human Lawn Dart? Last I heard he married that stripper, but that didn't work out so he ended up buying a bar (or two) as he wasn't doing so good as a bouncer. Gawd, now with STP, Endo, Joe Truth, and a few others, it's almost like old times.

Welcome to a very cool site.

I'm 42 myself and it's always good to hear of riders that are still ripping it up that are older than me. Gives me hope that I still have a few years left on the trails before I swap my bike for a mobility scooter

Jiffy pop, whadda kid.

Yep, he married that trash and she turned out to be...

Wait for it....

Trash.

With the big UCI shake up (he was in internal affairs) he lost his primary gig but was still tending bar down in Irvine (the bouncer crap was just him playing... his ADD wouldn't let him hold one job). Last I spoke with the kid he has started a bar/club in Palm Springs in an old hotel with the backing of the owner of the bar he worked at. I googled it recently, and while it came up with the hotel site, it mentioned nothing of the bar (Sahara Lounge) that was supposed to be there.

Jeff was a good guy, and helped imeasurably when "we" took on Montage and the County. Jiffy understood guerilla tactics when fighting a dirty war. I had to work with certain protocals within SHARE but I also could raise hell on the sly. Jiffy and I came up with the plans to shut the County of Orange down by scheduling mountain bike speakers, 5 minutes at a time as accorded by law, in shifts ad infintium, at all of the supervisors' meetings until they came to their knees and gave up plans for a golf course in your park. He also helped arrange the "protest ride" through Aliso and the crashing of the Trails Advisory Board meeting with 80 mtn bikers. They were freaked out and we had a county helicopter escort. Classic.

Jiffy, for all of his miss-givings, was a good kid. His heart was in the right place, although I almost ripped it from his chest when he rode his V10 through my living room in a drunken stupor.

Funny how the Fully Loop and beer are still the biggest topics.
