[SIZE=2]Just wanted to say hello to the socaltrailriders. I'm a long time member of the MTBR site, and a lurker here. After meeting many of you, and having a great conversation with "Dell" this past weekend at the Demo ride down in OC, I thought I should officially join the group here.

I've been riding since the summer of '85 - yes before suspension was even a thought for bikes. I live in the WLA / Culver City area, so the Santa Monica's are the local trails for me. I have friends that live and ride in OC as well as Pasadena, so I usually alternate where I'm riding. I'm also, for the past few years, a rodie. I've got a few friends that are "only" rodies, and some that are "only" MTBR's, so I get a little of both worlds. My wife is quite the cyclist (road & MTB), and can drop some of my male riding buddies!

For years I've been doing a big summer trip, and many smaller (3-day weekend stuff) trips. The past two years have been Colorado. Fruita / Crested Butte / Durango, etc. I've done Utah / N.Cal / Arizona / Oregon / Washington trips, and even a New Zealand (road bike) trip! That was amazing.

I'm all about "Ventana", have been riding there stuff for about the past 10 years now. Currently I ride a blue El Salt, and just this past spring built up an El Terremoto. On rare occasions you may see me on my Yeti ARC.

Now you know more than you wanted to know!

Anyway, like I said, I finally had an excuse to meet a few of you at the demo / fundraiser and was very impressed. Socaltrailriders putting a good name on mountain bikers in SoCal.

14. FiredYoMomma, however, is a lightweight. I've seen girl scouts and Mormans drink him under the table.
15. Don't ever expect Integradriv3r to wake up in time for a ride, you will be waiting for a long time.
16. The only reason why Ladd Jasper is so nice is because he pitys the slow
17. Don't try to have more posts than TKblazer. It is impossible.
18. If I am ever on a ride with you, expect to hear a lot of cursing followed by crashing noises. Call 911 when this happens.
19. 2WheelLee and Hoosierdaddy can do one-handed wheelies up hills you or I would walk up. You will learn to hate them as much as I do.
20. AndyakaRut and Genusmtnbiker are the official STR ambassadors to every bike race available.
