Hello New Here. looking for people that ride The Loop, & Schabarum/Skyline in A.M.

just like it states. I hopefully will get more responses in this forum than i did in trailhead. I ride the loop a few times a week and like i said i also do schabarum/skyline. usually ride around 8am sometimes a little before, or a little after. looking for a rider that i can keep up with to ride with. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. I would be interested in somebody to ride the loop with on a regular basis in the morning, although a little later than 8 (like 9) would be better for me. I am a newbie still so I don't fly around there so let me know what you are looking for.

Jenson has been known to have group rides! Try contacting ALAN. He should be better able to help you.

I tried to send the hyperlink to the Jenson BLOG--- wouldn't allow me to do so. Go onto Jenson homepage. Click Jenson BLOG (right side 1/2 way down). It will list past rides. It will also give contact info for ALAN!

I do Schabarum but enter from Powder Canyon on weekends, usually Sundays when I'm not feeling the Loop or the loop after Powder.
Dino is right about Alan especially for Schabarum as he knows some good singletracks there plus he lives close by. Most likely I'll be riding there on 8/5 around 8am. If interested I'll be at the Black Star to Beeks newbie ride with my wife on 8/4. Newbie rides are one of the best places to socialize and meet some friendly folks of STR. Can't say enough good things about this site!

I guess im not sure where i go.. or at least what the name of the trail is that i go on.
what i do is i start out from where i work at cypress and imperial. I go up cypress to avocado crest, down avocado crest to hacienda road, up hacienda to lucienda which is where i climb the trail to past those radio towers till i get kicked out to powder canyon i think its called where it meets east road, then i take east road back to hacienda, down hacienda to whittier, down to cypress and back to work.
or sometimes ill go from work, and climb over harbor to powder canyon and ride it over to hacienda.

usually ill do the same when i do the loop, taking off from work ill go up and over euclid and meet the trail at the valley part of it, do the whole trail but instead of stopping at the courthouse ill climb over harbor to go back to work. its a good way to make it longer.

anyways i think im boring myself typing my ride details so ill stop.lol

are you talking about Jenson USA? i didnt see anything on their homepage?

That sounds tempting for 8/5 ... where exactly do you start at? do you shred up that initial long climb to the power line? thats a tuff one.

Sorry about this but a friend just reminded me that I have plans for 8/5. I'll let you know when I'll be at Powder. Most likely the weekend after.
