A Lurker No More

Hi All,

I've been lurking (kinda sinister, huh?) on this site for too long and finally decided to introduce myself...

My name is Kevin, I'm 42 yrs old (am I really that old? Jeez...) and married with two kids. Like Keith B. (whom I don't know), I'm originally from England but have been Stateside for the last 16 years. We moved from Orange County to Phoenix about three years ago but are currently trying to move back (but having little luck selling our house ). Anyway, in the interim, we have rented an apartment in Aliso Viejo for the summer and will return to Arizona for the new school year in August (my daughter will be starting second grade, my son will be a pre-schooler); that is, unless we get an offer on the house

Anyways, I've been riding about two years now and wished I'd gotten into mountain biking a lot earlier. I've been trying to make up for lost time though, riding about 3-4 times per week right now (mostly Aliso-Wood and Laguna Wilderness/El Moro so far but want to hit up the Santa Ana's soon). I would describe myself as an intermediate rider -- not the fastest but a decent climber and willing to throw myself at just about anything

I have to say that this site has a really good vibe with lots of mellow people. I hope to get to ride with some of you this summer and sink a few after-ride brews
Look out for me riding a Patriot Blue Cannondale Prophet 1000.

Boats- Rather than being "publically" jealous over the fact you don't own a "Horse"---- let's try to stay focused on the fact STR is being invaded by British Hooligan's!!!

I played a bit of Rugby back in high school but football (er, I mean soccer!) was always my preferred sport. I played a little cricket too; which is like baseball but more civilized (ha, ha!).

We will be meeting at the bence at the bottom of Cholla aqround 5:30 i will be riding up from the church parkinglot and others are coming down from MILF Park...
