I've been here before but never registered. I've done it now. A lot of you will recognized me from geoladders and mtbr.
I finished the CC this past weekend. I claimed the fasted last place finisher in the past 4 years! I guess that makes me a little quicker than slow. I had a great time! I'm # 364. On the motorway, I came around the corner and was so suprised to see the big ol' camera of Winston's I almost crashed into the ditch on the left side. Anyhow, THANKS Winston, my wife loves the photo! See you all on the trails... |

That's ok...you're still cooler than me. I probably couldn't be ranked as DFL; you have to finish for a DFL.
Congrats on the finish! BTW, were you saying you were having a great ride toward the end of while doing it? haha Just curious. |

yeah yeah yeah, you just got lucky on that dead last spot. That's right, I had it all planned out but ended up missing the second cut off by 5 min or less. Still trugged on for a 10+ hour bike ride. Well 8:43 on the bike and the rest must have been saftey breaks. woot!

Overcoming the challenges climb by climb and cutoff by cutoff energized me, at least enough to keep going through the pain. And then to come down Holy Jim, all made for a great ride, a tough ride, but great. At the end, riding down Trabuco to the finish line I had nothing but a big smile on my face. ![]()
