Hi...I'm Chris....I'm looking for Ed who is looking for trails to ride.

Hi Ed, welcome to our site. If you go to the map tab at the top of the page we have trails marked on the map. Pick one that is close to you or sounds interesting and ask away. You might also check the thread about favorite trail and easy trails

Hi Ed, and welcome. Can't help you with trails out there though, I'm stuck behind the Orange Curtain. If you ever plan on riding out here, there are plenty of trails!

Hi Ed,
Look for Elinvar off of Soquel in Chino Hills. Chino Hills state park.
Take the gravel road up and then down and around (a mile or two).
You'll come to the Ranger house, campground, equestrian staging area. Park there if driving. There are many rolling fireroads to start with and some singletrack too.
It gets overgrown in summer, but should be good now.
Get a map. CH is big.

Ed. Marshall Cyn. in La Verne isn't too far from you, Bonelli, Claremont Wilderness Park are also good. Depending on your ability, Mt. Wilson is very fun, but most of the trails require some technical ability. Get some lights and come out on the Monday night ride with Incycle in San Dimas.

Ssshhhh! You tell everyone about my rides and they won't be secret anymore.

Welcome Ed. I don't know your fitness level, but my recommendation is to start off slow. Chino Hills State Park is a good place to build some endurnce and help with developing some skills.

Beware the ShinKen though, he'll try to tear your legs off.

HEY WELCOME to the Valley of the Dirt People !! Here are a few pics we took of Bonelli yesterday to give you an idea what it has to offer. I really like this one when I only have time for a quick spin but it has plenty of extra credit you can add. Enjoy...

There are some great trails in your area, try the arryo secco trail from JPL ( Ithink thats what it's called) , it's starts out mellow & just gets harder. You can get a good out & back, to get comfortable on the bike. Try the climb up Brown mountain from the same spot to build some legs, then hit up El Preito when you have some sweet skills.
I used to bomb around the Santa Fe dam area before work, which is a good work out & you can always find something to get airboune on there! In fact if I remember there is a heinous flight of stairs down the dam, that will put some hair on your chest. I miss living up there, but not in the summer!!
