Default DIRTTORPEEDO...MN girl checking in

hi everyone, i was just out in socal as a part of my bike bum experience (moab, bootleg canyon, socal) and got to ride chantry flats, brown mtn, and the el perieto trails in angeles nat'l forest.

i also rode the fullerton loop one morning and on my way back up the 210 i spotted some amazing looking single track near the covington exit and pulled over to check it out. turned out to be the puddingstone trails (thank you chris from incycle) which i spent the rest of the day riding.

just wanted to say hi and that i am looking forward to coming back out that way to ride some more!

hann-yu

here's are a couple of pics from the chilly chili ice race on bush lake in bloomington, mn (southwest of the twin cities) last weekend. i'm wearing my snowboarding helmet, many layers, knee/shin guards, my bikini, and riding a borrowed bike (since mine was still in transit from the west coast).

Hahaha...I see the bikini...over the many layers. Sorry we didn't hook up when you were down here. Give a shout out to the bike shop when you're going to be down in the area again. Oh and welcome to the site

Glad to see a fellow "612er" hitting Socal!
I loved the Ice Crit series: wood screws thru the 2.4 WTB's, backed up with Tuffy Tube liners, 15-20 psi and no suspension or gears - that much hasn't change out here - and lots of hot chocolate and the customary post-race Grain Belt!
Ahhhh, the good times!

Default thanks for the 'warm' welcome

it was alot of fun ~ esp. since i was the first lady to cross the finish line! it wasn't entirely fair though since i had been riding and climbing at altitude for nearly a week before that.

i was also on a borrowed bike, with a borrowed homemade studded tire on the back and another borrowed manufactured studded tire on the front. so really there were 3 other people involved with the win. i came up with the costume myself though

i'm in cali atleast twice a year and will definately post up the next time i am there. (hopefully in monterey for sea otter!)

sunny with a high of 0 today,
hann-yu
