New to group, few weeks anyway, a couple posts. Just wanted to say hey.

Why's he taking his hands off the bars? Isn't that dangerous?

i'd like to know what he was attempting before the carnage or did the tree stump just come out of the ground and catch him by surprise? oh yea where you from and where do you ride?

I live in Mission Viejo. Mostly ride local. Doing a lot of GeoLadders routes and having fun. I recognize a couple names from GL over here. This looks like a great site.

Welcome to the site.

I would welcome face planting into the pine needles over most of the places I endo....always on a steep downhill rockgarden.

yes, the tree stump just jumped up out of the ground. This has happened to me on a number of occasions and is not limited to tree stumps, but also rocks, smaller trees/bushes, other riders, signs and numerous other obstacles. There must be a name for it.
