Hey all, the name's Leo. I'm new to the site, but not to riding. It's been a while since I've hit the trails. I traded one expensive hobby for another. I've recently got the urge to head back onto the trails. I took my bike to the shop and had it tuned up. Now I'm ready to start riding again. Just one problem. I'm not in the best riding shape of my life. I need to start off slow, so can anyone recommend any beginner rides? I know about JPL and Turnbull, anything else near L.A.? Thanks!

Welcome aboard!

I am a OCer but you may want to take a look at Sulivan Canyon, in Brentwood. Not much of a climb until you get to the end of the canyon and the trail up to Sulivan Fireroad. Besides it is in the shade.

Or you got La Tuna over in the Verdugo's. Short & Sweet. Nice one to start the road back. I'd love to live closer to JPL and get some of that riding in.

There's also Del Cerro but from what I heard it's a bit overgrown right now. Welcome to the site

This is the link to Del Cerro in Palos Verdes. http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=648. Check out geoladders for more ideas. Here's another ride in the Verdugos:http://www.socalmtb.com/socal/trails..._park_mtwy.htm
