Default Greetings and Salutations.

Well, I've already participated in at least one and I think maybe two, member rides. I had a great time; met some good people and didn't suffer as badly as I thought I would.

I'm a bit of a curmudgeon, and totally lame with gears and suspension. So, currently I only ride my 1991 Yo Eddy with a rigid fork and one gear. I just found a deal I couldn't pass up on a custom 29r, so should have that soon...and it will also be rigid with one gear.

I'm enjoying my time here so far.

Oh yeah.. I primarily ride in the Conejo Valley and am always up to ride with new folks, especially single speed / rigid riders.

That 29er thing is about played out now. All the cool kids are doing the 650 thing now.

I know, right? I actually don't think the 650 thing would make a huge difference for a fat guy like me. But, maybe it would. This bike is something special... I think... Time will tell.

I have to be a pall-bearer on Saturday; which may turn into a Saturday evening beer-fest... which could make it really difficult to get going Sunday morning. I'm going to try to keep it all under control. Thanks for asking... ;-)
