Default Hello fellow SS Santa Monica Riders

Hi guys. New to the forum. I've been on BF and MTBR for some time but am glad I found this site.

I'm in the Santa Monica area, ride a SS and recently ordered a 29er (EL Mariachi). Looking for a group to tag along with on weekday evenings or weekends.

I grew up at the Top of Kenter so I'm pretty familiar with local trails but am definitely open to exploring more.

Let me know if you know of any SSers that do open group rides. I'd love to check it out. Thanks!

Default Yo

Rode SS yesterday up the canyon. Good stuff
There might be a SSuper Pretzel flogfest(Santa Monica) happening this Saturday if anyone is willing to throw down for about 4-5hrs(50 miles) on the mutant machines.

While not a SSer, the SM's are my local stuff, and have been for years. I'll keep an eye out for a hungry pack of SSers yelling out "on your left"! :-)

I'm up there often, on one Ventana or another.

Welcome fellow west-sider!

Welcome sarg, from a fellow SSer in your neck of the woods. There's a couple of us that do midweek SS rides on Rosewood/Los Robles, Dos Vientos, or Sycamore Cyn. We typically meet at 5-5:30 at the trailhead. We're always open to more riders. Especially SSers.

I also like to get in a longish (20-30+ miles) SS ride in Sycamore Cyn on the weekends. Hit me up with a PM or email if interested.

Why wouldn't you recommend tonight's ride? Not SS friendly (the pace/route, I mean)

I'm one of the "couple of us" above. I've been riding as much as I can up north here. I'd love to catch some rides further south; start exploring SS trails.
