Well guys, I ended up locating a 21" HifiPro 29er. I should have it by next Monday. I'm completely stoked to start riding it.

Welcome.

I'm sure we will meet soon enough, as I live in CC/SCV myself. I have ridden with Jeff more than anyone I've met. Jeff's a good guy!

I'm going to Fullerton for the loop sunday with a couple of my buddies of mine.

If your up for it, let me know and we can all meet up and caravan down there.

Well I just got my HiFi 29er last night, and I need a little bit of help dialing it all in. I a newb when it comes to working on bikes, so I need help with adjusting the hydraulic brakes, adjusting the derailleurs, getting the fork setup, and aligning one of the calipers. Anybody free to help me out with this? I have a garage full of tools.

Did you get it used? What brakes ? You can usually loosen the two caliper mount bolts and slide the caliper a little. I may have some time on friday......

I got it brand new. The front caliper needs to be aligned, as well as bled (along with the rear).

I work 9-5 through the week, so after 5 on friday would work for me.

I also just received an Easton handlebar, titec carbon stem, and titec carbon bar ends. I'll see if I can knock that out before then.

You may wanna try riding without the bar ends first.... if the brakes are new, shouldnt need bleeding. What brand? Do you need to run the shifter cables too?

Just mount the wheels with the calipers loose, you should be able to eyeball some clearance between the pad and rotor, then tighten the bolts. Squeeze the lever, spin the wheel, and make minor adjustments.....

If you got it new, you need to get the bike back to the shop. I'm suprised they let the bike go out of the shop like that! No, it shouldn't cost you a dime. They should be fumbling trying to please you, because that type of service on a new bike purchase ain't acceptable and has some potential for negative word of mouth stuff.

My bad, biggsean. I'd never heard of somebody getting a GF through anybody other than an authorized dealer.

It's a long story, but I found a bike shop that happened to have the bike that I wanted, in the same area that a friend of mine lived in. I paypalled the money to said friend, he purchased it on my behalf, and subsequently shipped it to me.
