Default My Intro Thread

Hey everyone!

Saw a link to this site over in Bikeforums. I've been living here in SD for about 4 years now. I came out here from Eastern PA. I'm in the Navy and have been riding for about 10 years now. It wasn't a full 10 years, I did take about a year or so off but always still had a junk rig laying around. A couple of my friends out here decided to start riding seriously, but it was on the road. So I built up a Fuji Team SL and have been riding that for about 8 months now. Right before I left for deployment I stumbled across a 2000 Homegrown frame in matte black. I picked that up and while I was out at sea bought all the parts. Came home built it up and now I've been hitting the trails. Still trying to get the roadies on the dirt... one day.

Welcome! You'll have no problem finding rides and MTB'ing riders in SD. Check www.mountainbikebill.com for trails (if you are not already familiar with that site) and the STR calendar for meet-ups.

The Hardtail is 22lbs and the Fuji is a stout 17lbs. The homegrown rocks I only have 35 miles on it so far. But they've been good rides through Rancho Penasquitos Canyon.
