Default Newbie all over again

I'm a newbie again,. I started riding for around 6 months a year or two ago, just started to get somewhat competent, and then needed to stop for shoulder surgery (non-MTB related). Recovery is now 90+% so I got on my bike this weekend for the first time in a year (Chiquita Ridge + Arroyo in RSM area) and quickly remembered:
1) I love being on the trail!
2) I'm woefully out of shape, hill climbs proved that out quickly!
3) If you look at something long enough YOU WILL HIT IT!!

Once I get a bit of fitness back I look forward to trying some rides with all you OC riders out there.

Congrats on getting back out there on the bike again! I live in RSM and ride those areas often.

At the Motorcycle Saftey Foundation class, they tell you to look at the path to get around the object, and not the object itself.

and it is true. you're gonna go where you're looking.
