Default New to riding!

Hello riding community!

I am Dial Tone and I am new to riding. I've been playing airsoft for almost 20 years and I recently bought a Trek 7100 hybrid to get into better playing shape. After one ride with my friends through Santiago Truck trail on a loaner and I'm hooked on biking! I now have a Gary Fisher Hi-Fi Plus to ride at other local Socal trails.

I'm here to learn all the aspects of biking from repair to maintenance and where and how to ride. Please bear with me if I ask a question that has been addressed multiple times.

I'll be that guy hike-a-biking. Lemme know when you're coming through, I got no problem stepping to the right.

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcome and the invite guys and gals! Unfortunately I have something already planned for Saturday so I'll meet you guys at the next newbie ride. Besides, that will give me enough time to get into somewhat decent riding shape. Right now I look like 210 lbs of chewed bubble gum.

Some forums ask that you post a picture to put a face with the name so:

Me on my first ride

Again, thanks for the welcome!

Don't worry about the weight my friend. We're not here for a modeling comp, we just love to ride! There is a nice mix of experience levels here and a fair amount of trash talkers ready at a moments notice. Don't worry, it's all in good fun and we'll see you on the trail soon.
