So I am new to this forum and somewhat new to mt biking. I dont really think of myself as a beginner because i am very athletic but i am far from an expert. rock climbing, slack lining, every day! bike everywhere as a commuter on my mt bike and longer distances on my road bike.
What i am riding: So my Hard Trail specialized rock hopper had problems shifting and I decided to convert it to a SS. After that I fell in love with it! I am running two cogs in the rear a 16 for commuting and a 18 for trails. and a 32 tooth up front. I upgraded the front fork to a Rock Shock Torra 318 that i love compared to the RST! I put some sweet juicy sevens on there for some nice stopping power. i have some nice platforms on there now for commuting and have some eggbeaters that i have on my road bike for the tails i would throw on my mt bike. I noticed over time i have been collecting bike tools to be able to work on it myself and switch out cogs and what not. So i do enjoy riding trails and am looking forward to getting more comfortable with my skills on the mt bike. I will be in town from March 14th-March 23rd. Anyone down to go riding?! I live in La Canada, so that is by pasadena and glendale area. Anyone live near by? Show me some cool trails! ![]() |

ya i not looking to be killed or anything i have had my share of compound fractures from rock climbing. but i would love to get out there and push myself on a mt bike and see some awesome scenery and just walk the sections that "put the fear of god in me" and watch someone else tear it up!

I love flag.... but when you get back out to cal, I ride a couple of times per week locally with the OTB club crew (verdugos, san gabs)... and usually a few times solo.
BTW, I suck at slacklining.... ![]()
