Default Returning Rider in SD
Hey STR!
Returing to Mountain Biking after a 15 year hiatus. I grew up riding through the hills of Marin County and racing junior downhill & cross country at Tahoe in the summers until I was 13, when a 2nd broken jaw and cut open chin requiring 30 double stiches ended my riding career. So now, after all this time, and living the past 4 years in San Diego, I'm excited to get back to it!

Been doing a lot of research of new bikes....pretty crazy how far Mountain Bike technology has come since I stopped riding. I'm getting ready to pick up a Marin or Fisher 29er next week. I'm a big guy (6'4"), so I'm sure I'm gonna love it....can't wait!

Glad to have found the site and hope to meet some of yall soon.

I'd stay away from that 29er thing. I hear it's a fad that's dying out.
