Default Feelin' like a newbie . . .

Some of ya may recognize the screen name from other forums and there is a chance some of you even know who I am (in real life)

Anyways, I dropped out of the mtb/race scene just before BB closed it's doors to the long travel bikes. Between then and now the Mrs and I have acquired a second child and a new house and that is where most of the time has been dedicated to. I have kept riding from time to time but nothing serious. Now I have the "bug" again so I am trying to get back to race shape and start up racing again. Gonna try and make the "Otter" as my first race back (depends on the Mrs work schedule).

Gonna go check out the site as this is my first time here.

Welcome back!

You know what they say about riding a bike, so you'll be back in racing trim in no time.

BTW, are you an XC or DH racer?

I started in XC and DH in '89 and then went strictly with DH in '98.

I intend to do some XC again but for now I am luggin' around on my stinky and it is not the best when it comes to my 16mi loop through the hills, should have a new ride in a month or so. It does do nicely on the trail behind our house

If you ever want to share your trails with the rest of us, I might head out there. I have some family in the valley.

No problem, just let get my endurance up a tad more. If it were flat around here I'd say no problem but mith my fat arse and my fat bike these hills are murder

Right on, welcome. This site is rad, you'll come across people you know for sure. What class did you race up in BB?

I was in the Clyde class and once in a while would race Clyde and Sport on the same weekend for DH. Way back when during my XC days I went straight into Sport.

Sweet. I'd probably remember you by your bike. It's funny how many people I could only recognize by their bikes up there.

I sure do miss Snow Summit, that place was heaven to me. Good to see you on the board. Take it easy.
