Great to be connected with dirt riders finally- hope to see you all out on the trails soon. Btw, anyone know when/if Whiting will be re-opened and how badly the trails got torched (ie. Cactus, the Luge, etc.)?

Since the national forest land in that area is due to be closed until at least Nov of this year, I'd say it's a safe bet that Whiting will be closed just as long.

Thanks Brew Master-- what a shame. Once they start to re-build the trails back there, I'd like to volunteer. Any orgs/clubs you know that might spearhead efforts?

keep posted here for info on trailwork...Whiting is covered by SHARE (www.sharemtb.com). Members and leaders are on this board...many of us want to help rebuild so you're in the right groups.

Welcome Trance Pilot.

I share our sentiments about Whiting Ranch. My chance to ride it as I've heard it has been dashed by a Damn arsonist. Too bad tar and feathering is considered torture, just might be appropriate here.

I hope to one day ride those trails, now charred and forever changed.
