What's Up!
I live in So Cal and I would consider myself a trail rider but never have I been on STR. I met a bunch of people from STR during a group ride at Sycamore Canyon in Riverside a couple of Sundays ago. Everyone was really cool and I figured this would be a great way to meet even more people and go on more group rides. I live in the Inland Empire, Loma Linda specifically. So if any one is in the 909 and wants to ride let me know. I would consider myself an all-around rider. There isn't much on two wheels that I wouldn't consider fun. Up, down, all around, even, gasp, on the road once in a while. Anyways, thanks for this great community. Looking forward to meeting more like-minded people. ![]() |

Hubby and I live in the 951. We usually do all mountain rides, but until March 8 or so will only be doing horrid long suffer fest training rides. If you're interested in racing we'll be out at Southridge in Fontana for the Winter Series!! (Jan 12-13 it starts). |

Spinning my wheels

Here is the linky to a previous thread:
SRC Dates 2008 Also, you can go directly to the Southridge website: www.southridgeusa.com I know people who race the dh on bikes like the Intense 6.6, Nomad, etc. so it is do-able on a smaller, AM type bike. Most folks ride dh bikes out there, however (myself included). You can sign up at practice (on Sat) or before the race on Sunday. They have a tent/table with the registration right there. |

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I'll be sure to introduce myself at the next Winter series. I actually raced the the last 2007 Winter Series. It was pretty fun racing Beginner. Next year it's time to step it up to sport.
To cmeride, I only have my Giant Reign to race on which has 6" front and rear. I did OK. There are some spots where a bigger bike would probably be faster. But there are also other spots where a smaller AM bike is just as fast, ie the "wall." Ride your AM bike. It's totally doable. |

and howdy. Ride in and around Loma Linda since the time change and snow up the hill. You didn't happen to be riding Monday afternoon at Jedi (Houlda Crook) with a dog were you? I ran across a guy on a Giant at the top of the chute coming up. I was riding the Black Trek coming off the top hill. Anyways, welcome to the madness. I'm usually rolling at Jedi in the winter. Send me a PM and we'll meet up.
