Default hey all...

Moved to SD from Vancouver just over a year ago. I'm missing whistler but there's some great riding down here.

I found a link on another site just in time to hit up Palm Canyon with a few guys from this board. Thanks to all for that classic ride! I've probably met more than a few of you randomly but will definitely meet more of you now!

Welcome to the coolest mtb site around. Good thing about it is that its still smallish enough to get to know people - but large enough to have all sorts of rides and events to go along on. You'll dig it. Plus, the SD community is growing rapidly from what I can tell from up here in OC. Have fun!

Welcome from another SD rider. Where are your local weekday ride spots?? Do you do night rides? If so, we have lots of options for you!

It certainly is a change. Great trails down here and epic rides. The one thing actually I miss is riding in the rain and fog. There's really nothing like it.

The picture (not me) sums it up.... dead silence aside from the bike, deadly slippery, caked with mud and soaking wet, but so much fun!!

Hell no... hate every player and their loser fans. Apologies if you're one of them, no one's perfect.

I grew up in Calgary and will always be a Flames fan!

I work weekdays and making it to night rides seems to require way too much effort and planning than I am capable of these days. I used to night ride lots so I def. need to get on it again. After the holidays I'll try and make it out.

Thanks to all for the replys - nice to meet everyone!

to SD. I wish I could have checked out some of the trails in your area. I've been up to Vancouver a few times but never with my bike. It's been a few years since my last trip.

my coworker's buddy just came down this past weekend to hang out and ride. He's got a place up in whistler so he wanted to see what the scuttlebutt was with the southwest...they headed over to bootleg for the weekend and he had a blast. Definitely not wet and damp like up there but it's improving your skills

As the elected leader of the San Diego crew, I say--

The SD Crew continues to grow more and more everyday!! We're taking over--today San Diego, tomorrow THE WORLD!!!

Quite a few of us post regular rides, so there's a decent amount of weekly rides.

Just because you're an STR newb, don't let that stop you from posting up rides too!! Post 'em up and let's get the SD rides going!!

I can not stress this enough--even if it's a last second/spur of the moment ride or a ride you think no one else would be interested in, post it up anyway. You never know who might be interested or who will be able to show.

Stay involved and don't be a stranger!!

I'm a fan of several teams (Canucks not being one of them -- no Flames either). The Wings and the Kings are fighting for top spot on my list, but the Kings are slipping. I've just been so frustrated.

My favorite Canadian teams: Habs & Leafs.

Ahhh. Hope the wife feels better. How young is your child, under a year? I remember those days, I was totally lucky in that my boys both slept through the night 'til morning, it was only on a rare occasion early mornings would happen.
