Hi all,
I am just starting get into mtb-ing and was referred to this site by SlowSSer (Thank you!). Just bought my first full suspension bike ('07 GT id-drive 2.0 - has been awesome so far) and am trying to get comfortable riding it. I've gone out 4 times now and have the bumps, scrapes and bruises to prove it! Guess this may sound familiar to some of the other newbies! I thought I was in good enough shape as I run with my dog every day and play soccer twice a week, but this is completely different and am getting my butt kicked! I'd love to join some of the newbie rides (spare time is a little hard to come by with a 9 month old!) or if anyone is riding on some of the easier trails in So OC please let me know. Thanks a lot and I look forward to meeting you on the trails very soon, Lubo |

Kingaucho,
Your local shop (Ladera Cyclery) is doing a mountain bike group ride at 7am from the shop and then having breakfast and a raffle in celebration of their 3rd anniversary tomorrow (Saturday 17th). Mountain bike ride should be about 20 miles. If anyone else is interested there is also a group road ride leaving the shop at the same time. |

slowSSer, thanks again for turning me on to this sie. Seems like a great group of people. I'm definitely better and almost healed up. Thanks for asking. Going to the Ladera Cyclery 3rd Anniversary ride tomorrow, hopefully won't be picking up any new injuries! Have a good one.
