    Stone alert!

My local purveyor of fine beverages tells me that the new Stone Cali-Belgique, a Belgian/IPA hybrid, is arriving next week. This has been available at the brewery for a while but is just now hitting stores. My friends who live down by Stone compare it to the '08 Vertical Epic.

one of my new favorites: Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A, a rye-based double IPA from He'Brew. Check it out: http://www.shmaltz.com/lennys.html

I like Bootlegger's Golden Chaos, but my growler went almost completely flat after about a day. I think i'll be sticking to store-bought bottles. Their pale ale is horrid.

some of their stuff needs some work, but they're just getting up to speed. I'm cutting them some slack for the time being, but i certainly hope they start improving some of their more 'normal' beers, i.e. the amber and pale.

Am I the only one that's disappointed with Bootlegger's Brewery?

If you guys are ever up by San Luis Obispo, be sure to drop by Central Coast Brewing. It's a small brewery and nothing else. Most of the beers are just "pretty ok" but there are a few fantastic brews. http://www.centralcoastbrewing.com/

As a bonus, they're next door to Cambria bikes. Hard to go wrong with that.
