@MG I have some family stuff to do on NYD. I only have time for a quick morning ride. I heard from Ben and he wanted to ride Tapia, so I have just enough time to squeeze in a lap there. I know that I will miss out.

@Randall Thanks for the heads up. I've never been to Towsley, so I will wait till it is in better condition.

It's nice having two bikes I enjoy to choose from , but the forecast tomorrow is calling for. . . . . . . Reign

Randall and Bret, that's good news for NYD. It's a fun ride.

Have a good ride tomorrow guys, wish I could make it. It looks like my girlfriend (Lisa) and I are going to make the Los Robles ride on Thursday though.

@ddmansprty: I seriously recommend against riding Towsley. Hiked it yesterday and the switchbacks are in terrible shape, well the whole back side is super muddy. If you went up and down the front side you would be okay. The lower section close to the trailhead looks really fun right now.

@ddmansprty: You're not coming out to Los Robles/Space Mountain? Oh well, if I don't see you before, have a good New Year.

I have to ride on the early side tomorrow since my wife has a MRA scheduled, so I will need to hurry home to help her out with that excitement. If I do ride tomorrow, it might be Pinetos if I can drag my butt out of bed early enough to get home in time.

Looks like Im riding Tapia NYD with Ben since I have to attend to some family activities.

I think I will still plan on riding Friday and Saturday as well, but as usual, I will need to get an early start.

Good to hear Kona's in good shape, should make for a fast video!

I introduce the following for Wednesday, last day of 2008...
9AM at the Sports Complex for the Tapia / UnCircumcised Trail ( most of us ride it unclipped cause we have to dab from time to time riding up it)

The new ST was pretty cool, if still very raw. But when it gets beddded in, it should be a nice alternative to the fire road route for those so inclined to ride it. I think the motos will find it, but they will find it un-motofriendly as it is filled with lots of tight twisty turns and it wouldn't be much fun on a moto.

As for riding it on a bike, most of it is still mashed down grass and it's still soft and lumpy. Kind of a booger to pedal up, but definitely do-able and much more fun to descend.

We rode up the new ST, then up the fire road to the top and descended Kona, which was as fast and fun as I have ever seen it. Really fun (which pretty much describes the day on the whole). The weather was pretty mild, but a little more breeze than I had hoped for. All the same, it's great to be back in there.

The fire hazard signs have all been covered in trash bags and some dufus' in 4WD's have wreaked sme havoc on the fire road in a few spots, but overall, it's as fun as I have ever seen it.

We'll do some more recon tomorrow and see how Burn Victim has fared. Hopefully it will be similar to Kona!
