Really sorry that I had to turn back this a.m. I had absolutely no power in my legs and was really feeling sick. It was good to see such a huge turn out though. Hope everyone had a good ride. Ill be off my bike till next Sunday. Maybe we can hit Tapia that day.

I'm riding Tapia with my son at 10am. It will be his first good ride on his new (06) Slayer. I replaced the triple ring crank set with a new Race Face Ride DH double ring W/bashguard setup. Now he will be ready for Mammoth next summer. It is going to be a slooooooow pace so anyone looking for a "cool down" ride after Pinetos is welcome. He wants to go up to the meadow via the "junkyard" so I predict some hike-a-bike for him tomorrow.

@b-40: Sorry about the time, but I just want to beat the hikers and dogscreamers.

Oh, is there anyone with an avid bleed kit willing to help me out installing my Juicy 5s? I have to cut the hoses as they are WAY too long, but I can't re-bleed them. It sucks as my brakes are just sitting there, mocking me...

Nice video of in the creekbed. Can't wait to see more video. Nice work!

I think you get a little better perspective with the camera if you can keep the rider in front of you or behind you reeled in tight a bit closer to the camera lense. Much easier to read the slope, the ups and the downs and off cambers when you see their tires against the slope or pitch of the surface.

Yeah, you cant tell where the g-outs are when watching the video. Next run, Im turning the camera around to catch the trailing rider. Ben and I played with the camera a bit and think it will turn out well.

You know I love me my Los Robles / Space Mountain, but after not riding Tapia for a month and a half, I'm really happy to have that as my 'home trail'. Strange how the video tends to minimize the up & down nature of trails, but still fun to see our turf on a video. Nicely done. Tell Ben to slow that thing down...
