"Fire Danger" "Closed" signs are still there in Tapia......

The Nunu just keeps getting better (aside from the shift glitches today). The zero setback seatpost eliminated most of my lower back 'discomfort' and the 20t had the desired effect. SCTT/Los Pinetos is getting better with each day since the rains, but that climb is still a bit gruesome.

Maybe I'll have to check out the lake trails for a change of pace.

    Thanks for the K-pr0n!

    Massive nude Kona BikePr0n today.

Does this Brooks saddle make my.... ah... never mind....

    Well, does it?

    I wanna take you higher!

"f*CK, Randy are we there yet?"

"Nah, just a few more turns"

    "Was that the last turn?"

"Yeah, a turn for the better"

    Mmmmmm. Shot Bloks!

Another adjustment. That's better, glad we aren't in the fog like the rest of LA. JeffJ hiding La Tuna single track and the Verdugos.

    Why is he looking back?

    This is gonna hurt!

Whew!, only 4 more miles back to a Guacy $6 Fat Pill! Mmmmm!

Well, I took the 20t off the Reign (until the one I already ordered arrives this week) and it's on the Kona for today's ride.

Still, I only stopped once on the climb yesterday (at the gate) with the 22t, I'll just have the option to not suffer as much in spots .

The Thomson post allows me to move the saddle forward to where I like it and that will give me more power for climbing too. So, since I have only ridden about 5 times in the last month, I feel like I did pretty well and with the final tweeks, it will only get better.

It won't replace the Reign, but it will give me the option to have a faster, easier climb if the descents aren't too technical and I don't want to slow down a group.

The Tora also has a lockout if I want to use it to stand and hammer.

Yeah, but Jeff, 75-80% of the time we spend climbing. How's the Kona climb with that big ole 22 chainring up front compared to the 20 on you boinger? The first thing I noticed about a full suser when I got one, compared to a hardtail, is that it felt like I'd lost a little zip when standing and hammering, not so much sitting and spinning.

well i did tapia today from my house, the creek bed was in really good condition just a couple of soggy spots, up the fire road again a couple of puddles then down kona, here is where the fun is, the already existing ruts are just a little deeper but not too bad, just a couple of extra bunny hops required to find the right line.

Ted, his friend Mick and I rode Santa Clara Truck Trail / Los Pinetos very early this morning so Ted and friend could play v-ball at 9am. Then I headed down to the Path sale for a new seatpost and a couple other goodies.

SCTT and Los Pinetos were in far better shape today. We rode on up past the RR to a point where we could overlook the San Fernando Valley and downtown LA. Quite a view from there this morning.

I'm really liking the Kona so far. It loves to leave the ground on the way down and the Tora fork is really nice.

Ran into MG down at The Path, The sale was happenning. Must have been 75 people or more there hanging out, shopping and whatnot. Of course they had the seatpost I was looking for in-stock and marked down from an already good price!
