I think I will be in for a Sunday Pinetos ride too. I am really getting out of shape. I am working Saturday, so I should be good for Sunday, that is unless I have some unexpected family thing happen, which as you all know, is always a possibility.

@Scottay...Ben and I have to finalize the price of the bike, but he's buying it. I might have the cash for the GOPRO for the Sunday ride. If you have one handy...

@dub_xl: you called the Sunday ride, so you get to decide the time. My personal preference would be 7:00am-ish to avoid hikers and the heat that still seems to rear its ugly head.

Actually, for some reason the trails down here just kick the crap out of me, which is a great indicator for skills/stuff I need to work on. But befitting my luck, it takes me as long to get to the trails down here as it does to ride up north, but with the added "fun" of pedestrians and parking woes.

Are the signs at Tapia still legit, or are the residents too lazy to take them down? Or do they just not want people to go back there anymore?

As of earlier this week, the signs were still up where pavement meets dirt at the entrance to Tapia/Junk Yard.

The clay soil in that area (Fully Loop) holds water for quite a while. It wasn't bad though and the Loop is always a good time for me.

I'll be doing San Clemente Single track ride on Saturday, (it's posted in the Calendar) if anyone else is interested. It's a serious hike for most of you, but it is a fun bit of trail.

Sunday, I'm good with Pinetos. What's the story on Tapia? Is it still closed?

Whoo hoo, what a great group to ride with last night on the Fully Loop while celebrating Dino's birthday at Roscoes. Had a great time. I can't believe there's still some muddy sections on The Loop after the rains last week, had a couple of high speed squirrely moments in the goo, leaving me with some clamp marks on my seat from my cheeks.
