Here's a picture of Alan's cobra holding my bike
http://www.socaltrailriders.org/foru....php?pic_id=50 It did shake some on the freeway but it seemed to be faily stable. The Viper hardly shook at all . . .

I have a Yakima rack with a viper and a King Cobra. I use the King Cobra with my downhill bike mainly (45lb BigHit) and it certainly does move around a lot, but there really isn't anyway it's gonna fall off. If you have a 20mm axle and don't want to take the wheel off and buy a Fork Up adaptor to use a fork mount rack, then I'd recommend the King Cobra. I've found most of the time I drive by myself to go ride so I just end up stuffing my bike in the trunk, more of a pain but more secure and less wind drag on the freeway.
