yea, what do you mean by bonking?

according to urbandictionary.com bonking is :
bonking
Having sex. It's a word that is widely acceptable in British society - not as rude as shag and *far* less rude than the offensive ****.
The London Times recently wrote that President Bill Clinton "may forever be known as Bonking Bill."

so is it no? bonking does not suck?

From our "riding dictionary":

bonk n., v. cycling's classic term for blowing up, hitting the wall, or otherwise expiring in midride. Can be caused by -- and is frequently blamed on -- insufficient water or calorie intake, but in truth is usually a result of insufficient training. "Had I eaten more linguini last night, I'm certain I wouldn't have bonked." Read all about how to prevent the bonk.

BTW, you WILL bonk if you don't get enough food/water no matter how much training you have; just ask anyone that's been on a decent length ride

haha never heard of that. Who came up with that, is it common or just in some online dictionary?

Sorry for my reply, but many of my friends use the word "bonk" as I have decribed as a funny reference to sex.

I believe BONKING is the own riders fault. Bonking is basically from either dehydration or lack of nutrtition in your system on a ride.

Everyone does have there threshold of hours and miles you can go though, but I think the average rider should know their limits.

I would say never use plain water on long rides. Gatorade Endurance Formula is the shitt!!!! Works great especially here in Arizona in the heat. The Endurance Formula has more sodium than any other endurance drink out there.

In the throws of a lengthy and vigorous session of intercourse with insufficient caloric intake in conjunction with improper hydration, I guess it's possible to fulfill both definitions of the word "Bonk."

Example:
"Holy crap, I bonked so hard and so long that I am just completely bonked right now."

bonking is not just physical. It is mental too. You have to mentally give up to bonk. I'm sure most of the experienced riders here have come back from a bonk and kept pedaling. You just have to watch out for cramping because its hard to keep going when your legs are locking up! The average person should take in a little bit less than a liter of liquids and 300 calories an hour when your doing a long ride. Too much water= watered down electrolytes. too little = dehydration. Too much food = cramping, burning legs and less energy due the blood going to your digestive organs to help process the food. If your doing a really long ride try not burn through much more calories/water than you can take in, Have fun riding!!!

I believe you are confusing bonking with boinking.
Ex:
You may bonk after a long time of boink, but it's unlikely that you'll boink after a long bonk.
