Default Any Newbie rides before Daley Ranch?

So. Cal Trail Riderz,

Will the group organize a Newbie Sycamore Canyon or PQ ride before the December ride at Daley? Looking to join up with others before hand to prepare for the climbing. I know this sounds like a Shout Out but.. If I send out the invite know one knows what this guy is all about and might ignore the invite possibly? Never know. I'm really looking forward joining everyone in the next couple weeks.

Tough to be a weekend rider only

See you on the trails!

Eddie

I have to work this Saturday, but should be able to ride after work at either Sycamore or LPQ (I'd rather LPQ but don't really care).

The next couple weekends will be hard for me, but I should be able to fit something in.

Post up a ride and I'm sure you'll get a bite or two.

If I have the time I would be down to ride. I live between those trails so either works for me. Sycamore is closed right now due to the fire so if your shooting for this Saturday I would suggest LPQ.

Post a trail and time you'll be surprised how many people will show up if they can. I felt the same as you and never posted. My first post I had about 6 people come out early ditching work on a Friday. Common bond between us all is we want to ride and rather a stranger than with our iPod...

Come ride on Saturday at Rose/San Clemente Canyons. I live near both LPQ and Sycamore, I'm always down to ride either.

If you are willing to lead a ride down there, I'm in. I've only ridden it once and that was 3 1/2 years ago when I forst got into MTB'ing. So I'd like to get a tour so I know where to go in the future.

My 575 is down with warranty issues, but I could either SS it or bring my 42 pound freeride bike.

I get off work in Poway at 3PM.

Well, I am leading a ride this Saturday at San Clemente/Rose Canyons at 9AM, so it's likely you can't join PacMan. I kind of have a sentimental attachment to this trail since it was one of the first ones I rode. I chose to ride it based on MTBill's description:

"A beginner will find these trails to be somewhat challenging while an intermediate rider will find the trail system to be a lot of non-challenging fun. "

From my experience, SS is perfect for that place.

Don't forget to bring some calamine lotion. I grew up on that trail. I started riding it on my BMX when I was a kid then on my MTB as a teen. I think its been over a year since I last rode that trail.

You going to make a trip past the high school up to the single track near the 805?

Are you talking about singletrack west of the 805 or east of the 805? I'm starting just west of the 805 and heading west, hoping to hit the entire "U" back near the 805 in Clairemont, then returning via somewhat different route, having the singletrack east of 805 as a "bonus section."

I'm really glad I sent this shout out before hand.

Thanks for the invite to San Clemente/Rose Canyon. I think I'm going to hit up PQ to make it easier for everyone who might be interested. I'll post a ride this for a Saturday morning get together 8ish or 9ish... I'll wait for the responses what time is flexable for most.

By the way.... I'm not really a Newbie to mountain biking it's just I'm new to the group. I would like to practice not being such a sand bagger on most climbs. I can make it up any hill but I don't race anyone to the top. Also, no one needs to worry If I'm going to be holding up the group or if I need a break at the top. I'm always good to go ===>

I'm sure I've crossed paths with most of the riders in here many times. Or seen me in the parking lot.

Till then,

Fast EDDie getting slower......

Yep, the stuff on the west side of the 805 south of Nobel Drive. I rode that area once a few years ago.

I don't go across to the east side of the 805. I have a healthy fear of Marines and 50 cal's bolted onto Hummers.

I lived south of the trail so I use to park at the lot off Genesee under the 52.

Have a good ride.

Sweet. I hate fighting for dead last on the rides.

That's why it's a "bonus section."
