Default Question about burned trails

So how long should you wait to ride a trail system that has been devastated by fire?? I'm guessing at least a couple months?? The last thing I want to do is be the tool that jumps out there too soon.

I was convcerned too when my local stuff burned up. I got different replies but now I've seen as long as you stay on the trail, you'll do no damage at all. In fact some of the stuff that didn't get rode very much, got overgrown and we had to go back out and recut it or more like reclaim it. Now with steady traffic the trails are in great shape.

The main thing will be the ash. That will kick up when you ride. That is one reason the trails are closed. Along with the risk of hotspots.

I would think after a good rain. Look out for the mud slides. That hosed up a couple trails at MTRP 4 yrs ago.
