Default So I was thinking...(575 related)

I called Yeti earlier today and they are going to send me out a new front triangle no problem.(Noble Canyon (10/20/07))

I asked them what EP was on an '08 575 frame and to cut to the chase--with all this mandatory overtime I've been working this week, I'll just about have enough $$ to get one. I also have enough quality spare parts to build up another bike.

Soooo... I could put the spare parts on the warranty frame and put all the high-end stuff on the '08

Then, I will have a back-up bike the next time the frame breaks

Or you could sell the warranty frame/bike and have some cash to really bling out the new one or to save for a rainy day. Although if you are like me and have a really hard time parting with anything bike related(I still have my '99 fisher joshua f3 frame) it might hurt to sell it. But then again it's just a warranty frame, you haven't ridden some soul into it yet so it might not hurt to part with it.

You love the Yeti that much that you would have two of them? What about buying something different with your extra cash?

Are there any geo changes to the bike for '08? You may want to check out the new one (test ride) before you plunk down the cash. Either way, that's great news that Yeti will cover the frame. I have heard nothing but good things about their CS dept.

I love the 575 that much!! I have heard nothing but good things about the '08's. Same geometry. A bit lighter and a bit stiffer. Plus, I hated the new design when I first saw it but now love it. The frame in the new Pewter color scheme is the $h!t.

Also, I really like to have a back-up bike that's close to the same level as my main ride. If I hadn't gone against my own beliefs on that and kept my Reign instead of selling it, I wouldn't have missed out on the Noble ride. I also wouldn't be forced to ride a SS or a 42 pound freeride bike while waiting for the 575 to come back.

Not really anything left to bling out. The wheels were the final item and the Crossmax SX's filled that gap nicely.

Hey Pac sorry about the 575 I missed that thread, I was down at adrenaline today and the 08's are sick... I am not sure about the other sizes but the TT is longer this year on the XL... I would revisit the geometry specs....

Good luck

Not really. New wheels, new fork, SRAM X9 and Shimano XT throughout, Thomson and King parts. Seriously, besides a Gravity Dropper, there's nothing.

The only differences are a 1.2" longer wheelbase and the top tube is .40" longer--which to me is no big deal.
