![]() EBB's are "ok" but can slip and creak. I like the paragon sliders. They are set and forget. No creaking and slipping. One thing........Allison is incorrect about needing a EBB to run gears or SS. You can do both with sliders ![]() |

My wife and I both have 29ers. I have two single speeds and she has a fully geared. What size frame do you ride? I have a Salsa El Mariachi and a Rig; the wife has a Paragon. I would like to get her a double squish...so maybe we can work something out. Let me know if you would like to ride any of them.

Well I'm late to chime in on this one... Allilson had you covered pretty well. Love the Dos for a long endurance ride.
I have a couple bikes for you to try anytime Brian. Quote:

Driveside slider got a "little" warped/twisted and was never the same. I don't think that contributed to the snappage but it was loud as hell under big torque.

![]() However EBB's have a long history of issues. For the record my SIR 9 is silent but does require "adjustments" more than I like. Also I may go with the White Ind ENO hub next time. No need for sliders or EBB ![]() |

About how much was the ENO disc rear wheel cost to build? Also, any problems setting up the disc brakes? I know this will vary with frame/brake. Worrying about problems setting up the rear disc brake are the only thing stopping me from getting an ENO wheel. Thanks, C$ |

White Industries offers a sliding disc brake adapter at $45, which I use, to help with rotor set up on the hub. 819, DT Swis Revo spokes and Eno Hub for around $250 plus labor. Not bad for a SS set up!

there is a cure for bad Bushnell EBBs: Carver EBB. has a Delrin (hard plastic stuff) sleeve that covers about 90% of the area between the ebb and the ebb shell. totally quiet, and slip free.

I also deeply regretted selling my inbred. note to all out there- if you buy one, dont sell it. |

Next SS bike I would like to try a split shell pinch bolt setup. I love the geometry on my Niner, so I am willing live with taking the bottom bracket apart now and then and cleaning the dirt out to get rid of the creaks.

That's a tough call because you've been riding road instead. If it was only ridden 5-6 times in the passed year because you borrowed your friend's 29er for awhile and found that you liked the 29er better, then I would say go ahead and sell. However, since you've been mainly riding on the road instead, it's hard to judge if you will want the Yeti when you start hitting the trails with more frequency again.

At the next group ride I am going to have to remember to have you guys explain this crap to me. All of this talk of different BBs is going over my head...
