Default Food and clothing donations for fire victims

It's still early but I think with hundreds of thousands urged to evacuate it could be a good idea to get some bags of canned goods and old clothes together for some who might not have very happy holidays this year.

I have not seen a call yet but here is a link to the O.C. red Cross. http://www.oc-redcross.org/show.aspx?mi=2933

Anyone who can find anything else is encouraged to post more useful links.

I know there isn't but most engines only carry water and C-rations/MRE's. If you see a strike team on your street waiting to be deployed or are in the fire area and have engines sitting around for structure protection...take them some freshly made sandwiches or donuts/coffee etc. It'll be greatly apreciated more than you can know.

Oh yeah unless you see a bald fat guy on an Arcadia Fire Truck...please don't feed him any donuts!!! That would be my brother.

True dat.

If you want to go to the source, CDF has a fire equipment staging area on Central near Edison in Chino (right next to the prison and Ayala Park). I saw armies of trucks and personnel rolling out today.
