I can 'taste' the air down here...tastes like a burnt chicken pot pie with the aluminum thingy still on it.

It's a whole lot better today then yesterday and late Sunday night. I had to seal up all the door and windows to keep the smell from creeping in.

I am about a mile or two from where the Irvine toll road fire was and thanks to the wind, my house was directly in the path of the smoke.

There are numerous walkers in my neighborhood and they were still out doing their rounds yesterday and even Sunday night! Either they don't know about the damage the smoke can cause, or they just don't care. I've been locked up in the house, everything closed and sealed up and with no A/C.

Today things are much better though now that it has moved up to Foothill Ranch.

Ontario is Nasty, looks like the offshore turned onshore and is packing the smoke back into the basin. Now the praying for the wind has stopped, can we pray for rain to bring this crap down?

Unhappy Yukky-poo......

Here at work in Torrance.....no where near any burn area, it is dark, smokey and ash and burnt dirt are falling.

Air around here has been dead still going on 3 days, and it's getting hot. Gonna be 90'ish. All this crud in the air is parked over us and raining down. Bizarre.

So much for pedaling...

I'm never taking sea breezes for granted again.

Thumbs down

The air in San Clemente sucks today... hard to take a deep breath (who'd want too!)... mostly from the Marine Base fires.

We are getting a ton of smoke pouring into the Temec valley here today... Up above and out east it is blue, but south, SE/SW is all smoke filled. It's nasty out there... If the wind continues to blow NW we'll be getting a nice dose of it this evening.
