Default Rock Shox Vivid

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has ridden a bike with a RS Vivid rear shock. What were your thoughts on it? Anyone see one in person? What did you think? I was just checking out the virtual booth for RS on mtbr and it looked quite interesting.

Thanks!

I rode with a guy up in Whistler who was running one. He really liked it a lot, in particular the ability to adjust beginning and ending stroke rebound separately.

Of course, he's sponsored by SRAM, so I wouldn't have expected anything else.

I also saw them on the Iron Horse team bikes at Sea Otter.

From what I understand, they won't be out for a month or two.

I got the low down on this at interbike. They basically took all you need in a rear shock and minimized your ability to set it up wrong. They also designed it so that after it's initial set up it could run an entire race season without being touched. I haven't been on it personally, but the concept and the fact that thats what they did with their race team this year sounds solid.

Thanks for the feedback guys. After watching RS's video on mtbr, I started thinking about replacing my DHX-A with a Vivid instead of the Roco. Hopefully the price won't be too outrageous.
