Default I need some STR Opinions: Which Singlespeed 29'r is best?

Hey Guys- I'm itching to buy a rigid SS 29'r, especially now that I'm moving back east. I want steel, rigid (but possibly some squish in the future, so suspension corrected is a plus) and I'm looking to spend around $800 max. So far, I've been looking at:

Redline Monocog Flight
Raliegh XXIX
Bulding up a Karate Monkey
One-On Inbred (if on sale at Pricepoint)
Voodoo Dambala (sp?)
Haro Mary
that KHS

I think Niners will be to expensive...

Discuss!

Full bike or frame only?

I'd highly suggest the Niner Sir9. Look in classifieds for a used bike. That way if you decide you want gears every now and then you can add 'em on.

Justin loves his!

If you want cheap - go with the Redline.

I like the new Inbreds

Love the way the monocog rides too, plus you'd have plenty o cash left over.

Niners are great, but above your set price range.

Full bike... this is just going to be my fun bike for after work rides and downtown Boston Urban Assaults , and the Reign is going to be my pimped out main ride (unless the 29 SS bug bites me hard!). The SIR 9 has an EBB right?

are very close and can't go wrong. However the one that folks like the most is the One-On Inbred. Duno why Check the reviews on that other web site

IMO...... just look for the best deal you can find.

Also here are a few others that you have not listed.

I am currently on my third 29'er SS (Niner Sir 9) and by far my favorite.

good luck

Nice! I'm trying to maintain the delicate balance of retiring at a reasonable age and fueling my MTB addiction. Whats the deal on the new Inbreds?

I took my time building my one9 so i got a killer deal here and there, but I hear you man, its still an expensive bike considering that I got killer deal for the frame, fork and the wheels.

may have a point. The Niner geo is spot on. Those guys know what they are doing. My Sir9 is the best handling bike I have owned.
