Yesterday was the final straw. I almost killed myself down Rattlesnake @ Moro becasue I don't have shoes and I can't keep my feet on the pedals. Plus, climbing is harder and I am getting frustrated...

I have some egg beaters on the way, and reco's for some good $75ish shoes?

I got some Cannondales off of Bike Nashbar about 3 years ago for $46 on closeout. They are still going strong with no problems or significant wear. They are usually sold for $99, so watch for good deals like that on their website.

They even come with rocks inside them! hahaha.

I got some specialized on clearance at superBLO like 2 years ago for $40 bucks, the threads on the bottom are starting to look worn, im on my second set of cleats, but they work great!
