I posted a call to arms recently and a lot of you answered by emailing the board members in charge of the issue and I just wanted to thank you all.

You're efforts went a long way.

Thanks to everyone that sent in this request to add these trails to the Draft Plan. The committee decided to take a step back and re-evaluate the map and the designated trail uses. The trails haven’t been added yet but its on the table now and if we had not spoke up, they would have most certainly been lost. The committee will meet again on October 3 and further decisions will be made based this feedback. According to Will who went to the last meeting, there were surprisingly few people at this meeting, maybe 10 or so. If you want to get involved, going to these meetings to voice your opinion would have the most impact.



Also, trail maintenance is one of the best ways to demonstrate the collective benefit of having bikers access to the area. This Saturday at 9 to 12 is the next scheduled trail maintenance. More info here:

We also learned a few things during this campaign and will make some adjustments going forward. I’m sure this is not the last time I’ll ask you guys to send emails!
