Default Compatibility Question

Hey there,

I'm putting a bike together and want to know if the Crossmax SX (Dino don't kill me) front wheel set is compatible with the FOX Float 36 20mm axle.

FOX boasts a 20mm through axle QR, I just don't know if it will fit the Crossmax. Cant get an answer from any local bike shop other than " I guess it probably might should maybe fit"

just wondering if anyone else has this setup.

thanks in advance

Mott

Yes it will fit, doesn't matter which fork you have. All 20mm axles will work.

that's what I thought too but the Crossmax sx just looks so weird, I think it had an adapter already in the hub for a typical skewered axle and the tech at the shop couldnt figure out how to get it out. that right there sent an alarm up.

The adapter is held in place by an o-ring. Just pry it out and install the 20 mm thru axle adapter. Here is a pic of both adapters (scroll down) What wheels should I buy??

Thank you so much! That was exactly what I was looking for.

ok that was funny but I think this will follow me the rest of my life. No more "rock" comments unless you're willing to throw the channel locks into it.
