I went for a ride today around the neighborhood on some horse trails and utility roads just to get some miles in. When I was climbing up a street in the bike lane, a guy in a black Jeep drives by and yells "Fag!"

WTF? I was riding a mountain bike, not a road bike. Geez... how rude.

That's what I keep trying to tell you guys. People outside of cycling make no detirmenations between roadies and mtb'ers. To them we are all ghey. The reality is we'd kick their arses any day of the week. Usually some high school kids.

I was with my gf on our mtbs riding to the Fullerton Loop. I hear a guy yell "fags!" as he was driving by, just like in your case. I assumed that he didn't see my gf's hair and thought it was a guy. I was thinking WTF - it was two guys driving a convertible Mustang. Geez...and these two guys were calling us fags?

I got sprayed with silly-string during a training ride on my road bike in 2003. Driver clipped me with his passenger mirror too- they got that close.

Fools in the cage didn't count on the light catching them short as they sped by. Also didn't factor in I had a decent sprint (back then) for a lil guy.

I caught up with the punks as asked the sprayer when was the last time a man wearing spandex shorts smashed his f'ing face in.



People constantly howl, yell etc driving by and I tend to ignore it. But when somone or something makes contact, the line is then crossed.

I've been jumped at stops and even lost a bike. Now I carry a folder when I'm on the asphalt.

Peeps are messed up nowadays.
