Default 5 Miles of Hell on Moab

https://www.prodigitalphotos.com/cory/vids/5MOH.wmv

Thought some of you may wanna checkout this dirtbike video. These guys have some serious bike control. The only thing that sucks is it seems they are riding on some trails that are not designated, so they arent doing a good job of treading lightly. Other than that I was impressed at the ride skills.

Actually it looks like they are mostly on designated trails if you notice the white lines in the "trail" every so often. Still, personally, it bothers me how much these guys are tearing up the terrain.

I saw that vid a year or two ago. That looks lime some fun stuff! I wouldn't call it a hell ride, though. I'd guess those guys are about novice intermediate level riders.

I want to ride it! They picked the perfect bikes - a 350 2-smoke is probably best for that.

That looks like an awesome moto trail

I just bought a KTM 450EXC. That really whets the appetite watching that.

STR group moto/mtb ride in Moab?

I went to Moab last December, and the weather was perfect...a little chilly, but very nice. There was no one in town, and the campgrounds were all to ourselves.

We saw a couple moto groups riding the Slickrock Trail. And they were very nice to us mtbers, which I thought was very cool.

For any of this kind of riding, make sure you have all the frame guards you can buy! I saw a couple oil spots on the Slickrock Trail, where people damaged their engine cases.

Anyone interested?

And maybe you can get Randy to ride. He has a YZ400F that I can only get him to ride like once a year - if that.

I'm fairly certain 5mofh would kick my ass. I would love to do a mtb/moto trip out there though. I'm going to post a jawbone canyon moto weekend when it cools off a bit, you guys ever been there?

Default Jawbone

I have ridden Jawbone and the surrounding area a lot. It is just over the hill from my house. We usually go out there near Dove Springs with the RVs. Plenty of places for the kids to ride that is a little removed from all The Jawbone madness.

I also did a mountain bike riding starting at the white pipe in Jawbone. We rode the fireroad 32ish miles to a cabin up in the mountains (I think jfsh may know who's cabin).

That area is a lot better on motorcycles than it is mtbs. Trust me.

A few years ago when I rode there a lot, Dove Springs was overcrowded in some areas, as well. It's best to go there on non-holiday weekends.
