Default Rain???

Just a friendly reminder.....

I know it's been a while since we've really had any rain and now it looks like we may just get some. With that in mind remember to let some of the trails dry out before we ride them. Some places like the San Gabes will be ready in a day or two, but I've seen stuff in the Santa Ana's still be wet a week after a moderate amount of rain. So please consider this and what trail you'll be riding.

Thanks! I just checked the weather as well... I hope I get a ride in this week- only get to ride 1 day a week because of work... If it rains, looks like I'm taking out the Diamondback for some urban assault.

Don't they race cyclocross bikes in the mud?
You got your Bianchi, right? Let's do some mud rides!!!

Come on guys, loosen up ...mud rides are fun. The world won't end, and the trails will be just fine when they dry.

The Loop is miserable in the rain. Not sure who is all going to make it there or not. I may not sure yet.

I don't mind if it rains at Hurkey Creek, the track could use it and we still have to ride the course reguardless, it's the camping in the rain and trying to stay warm and dry let alone sleep before the your next lap is what's going to $uck!

We got some rain down here in SD. It was just enough to keep the dust down. But not enough to stay off the trail.

Rain and cold temps here in Running Springs (43 degrees). That means more rain and colder temps in Big Bear. Just what the doctor ordered for a fast track down the mountain.

Most of the single track trails around me are so dry they are turning to dust and sliding off of the hills. The rain will hopefully make them more ridable.

ROADIE!!!!

No problem! I'll hose it off just the same as I do with my other bikes. Remember, in the rest of the parts of the country and world bikes are commonly ridden in muddy or rainy conditions. California is the only place in the world that I am aware of that riding in these conditions is considered taboo...as if this is the only place where errosion occurs.

I got rained on this morning at Mission Trails in SD. Not too bad, but just enough to be annoying. It should be nice once it packs down a little, but it was a slippery this morning and the wet dust just caked up on everything.

It was drying out this morning when we left for work. The roads are all covered in water now!

Not sure if it's still raining out. Justin's gonna be walking about block after dropping the truck off for clear coat stickers, so he'll know what the weather is like soon

Gene - We'll be there in the rain along side of you, and yes it will be cold too. We picked up our camper in Big Bear last night 40's before the sun was even down. the car ride down the 38 was interesting since the clouds rolled in (Neil hates going 5 mile on hr - but we couldn't see jack).

I hope it rains, it will make the race more interesting, of course I can say that, I'll be watching a video with Maddie in our camper with the heat on .

We figured for you 24 hr guys, rain, snow and at least 25 degrees during your night laps - Burr - Bring along enough bike clothes to change into a new set down to the gloves if you can, for every lap you take.

my buddy just went out to recon aliso and he noticed people walking and riding on there...so i guess it didnt rain enough to warrant a park closure.
