I just bought the Crossmax SX's. I don't believe the front hub is convertible from 20mm to QR. It didn't come with a conversion kit and we looked on the Mavic website to double check and it states it is supplied with 20mm thru axle hub only.

From what we saw on the Mavic site, only the Crossmax SX, Deemax and Deetraks have thru axle hubs and we didn't see any conversion kits.

I'm excited about the SX's. I swapped the TALAS for a Marz All Mountain SL1. They are over a pound lighter than my current wheels and I'm going tubeless, so that'll shave a bit more weight.

I like the 819's on my SS. I just wanted something a bit more sturdy for my FS bike.

Well, at 220lbs without gear, I was told by more than one person to get something a little sturdier. I'm not bashing the wheels. I love 'em on my SS, just for me I wanted something a bit sturdier on my FS.

PacMan,
I have a set of the adapters at home. They're really simple looking, and fit right into the 20mm thru axle mounts.

Jordan, you're getting a 5.5?

Dude those DT Swiss look awesome, and I found them on the net for $427.00! Nice. I would check those out for sure, 1750 grams is light for a truly durable wheelset, especially at that price.

Will they work with any thru axle hub?? If so, I will gladly take them off your hands. How much you want for them??

Here are the adapters installed into CrossMax SX wheels. In the other photo, you can see the standard 20 mm thru axle fittings for many Mavic hubs. These are removed and replaced with the fittings in the middle. Sorry, I don't want to sell them.
