OK- it's that time of year again. BMW together with the Komen Foundation team up to fight breast cancer. Essentially, BMW has 2 fleets of cars (variety, but no M's, unfortunately) that travel the US from dealership to dealership and you test drive the cars. For each mile driven, BMW donates $1. This will be the 3rd year I do this, and in the past they have you drive a set route about 15 miles or so (not your typical cruise around the dealership lot) without a salesman harassing you, then bring the car back and take another one out. This is an opportunity to drive some fine cars for a good cause.

Crevier BMW in Santa Ana has the Ultimate Drive event on 9/27. Irwindale Speedway's open drag racing is going on on 9/27 for all street legal vehicles...

Hmmm.... Drag it like you stole it?

This is a fun event. I actually volunteered on the Komen side and got to drive the cars to the next location. My first year we drove them to Palm Springs from Irvine.

Sounds pretty sweet, thanks for posting the info. Unfortunately we don't have a BMW over here in the DIRT county, but I'll pass the info to my mom, who owns a BMW

it is a great program.when your at the dealer, go into the parts department and look at the cloth's, hat's, coffee cup's etc... alot of money goes to Susan G Komen Foundation. it's called the Pink Ribbon Collection

My wife and I are doing the Susan G. Komen race for the cure on September 23rd in Fashion Island.

My wife started a team called Team Patty to support her friend Patty who was battling cancer. 75 people joined her that day and a few thousands of dollars we raised. She unfortunately lost the battle this year but the team continues in her memory.
