Default Cool bike lost and found thread from MTBR

Yes, I admit, I was surfing around on MTBR a bit ago. Don't hate me.

Anyhoot, I saw a pretty cool thread about a guy who lost a SC Bullitt. Check it out:

That Is Cool, But I Will Admit It Was Rather Annoying Trying To Read The Dudes Post. Why Do People Do Things Like Cap Every Word When You Would Never Do That On A Piece Of Paper? I Just Don't Get It.

slad, i think it is an auto fix feature, where if someone types in all caps, it will automatically just cap the first letter of each word.

It's because of texting, IMing, the Internet and general laziness. The fact that most people are still required to take grammar classes in elementary school through high school and not use these skills is amazing.

My wife's an English teacher, and sometimes I read the homework she's grading.... They're unbelivable! These are high school kids and they write like second or third graders, at best. Pretty scary....

...and these kids get defensive when they're called out on message boards for illegible grammer. they seem to think it's fine and dandy to do so, and likley thinking that these boards are populated by people only of their similar age. Sorry, but that doesn't apply to mountain biking- heck- what's the average age here on STR? it's got to be thirtysomething.

nice story. Good to read up on these happy endings. I wish the world was free of theft. No need to worry about leaving our bikes in open truckbeds.

What's the big deal? I always get a kick out of people calling MTBR names or reffering to it as that other site. Who cares? It has it's pluses and of course it's faults, but I'm sure no one really cares if you post or visit any other site.....

Except that Monkey one of course, now that one we have issues with
