Tara Llanes update

The myspace page briefly mentioned that they are trying to set up a way to make donations. It also has the hospital/room she's in for cards/flowers/etc, plus updates that keep everyone updated on her progress.

Should we do a group ride with a special STR big card to send, then work with them for a fundraiser ride???

Hey all.

A friend of mine, Tara Llanes--world class pro mountain bike racer and contender for the Olympics next summer--was seriously hurt and paralyzed in a race on Labor Day weekend. She is soon leaving a hospital in Denver to move to a rehab facility until she is stable enough to be moved back home to Orange County.


Below is a flyer and info on a fundraising event for Tara's family so they can fly back and forth to Denver, stay in a motel near the hospital and help Tara with her recovery.


If you would be so kind, could you please post this flyer in your break room at work, forward it to your co-workers and friends and/or, better yet, come out on the 13th and show your support.

Thanks for posting this update. I won't be able to make the event, but my donation to her recovery fund (http://www.tarallanesroadtorecovery.com) is on its way!

Real easy to donate via PayPal. I hope her story has a happy ending like the pro football player recently. Regardless, it sounds like she has an incredible support group around her and I'm sure they'll be there to help her along the way!
