Default Anyone ride a Scott bike or frame?

Any pictures?

Ransom 30 frame is calling my name on bobsbicycles...

No seriously... it called out to me in my dreams last night.

Something about saving the world if i purchased it by the end of this weekend.

Nope . I have looked at them. Interesting shock but for me its too many moving parts to wear out.

Scott has been using its own shocks in the Genius range for a while, and the Equalizer shock in the Ransom is an evolution from those. To say that there's a hell of a lot going on with this shock is to severely abuse the term "a lot". It's got more more valves and levers than a saxophone shop and so many chambers that it's a wonder there isn't a law firm in there somewhere.

I saw a review of older ones on mtbr but nothing too conclusive as in an article in a magazine or anything.

looks like a nice frame that is light but like you guys said, that shock is kinda odd although you can swap out the shock for a normal one if you feel the need.

A friend of mine has a carbon framed Ransom. He likes it, but probably couldn't give much useful additional feedback.

I picked it up and it felt like there was an odd weight bias toward the rear of the bike like I have not felt on any other bike. He's got the exact same fork as I do on my Reign, so it seemed out of the ordinary to me. That shock looks like a door closer to me.

The Ransom 30 is aluminum, not carbon fiber.

Let Scott ride his own bike, get your own.

There's probably medication you can take to treat that...
