Is it just me, or is it a little hot outside this last week?

Yesterday my gf's car said the outside temp was 104 degrees, in Pasadena and in a parking garage it still read 103 (in the shade). Today it feels like I'm taking a shower sitting on the couch I'm sweating that much. When she dropped me off at my place it was 95 degrees and thats with only about 4 miles distance difference.
I wonder how hot it is? I would go out and skate for a while but I think my wheels would melt!!!

El Toro and the 5fwy was 112 about 30 minutes ago.
San Onofre Trail 3 was about 75 this morning. Water temp was about 67. It was NICE!!!! 3-4ft surf with occasional 5's. "Swell" out of the WSW.

Constant triple-digits in Calabasas, but 4 years in Arizona prepared me, it's still hot as hell though.

Last summer --June through August-- I only rode 37 times (I ride wth a GPS so every ride is recorded) because it was just too hot to ride, and I have a pretty high tolerance for the heat. In June through August this year I was able to ride 54 times. So, long story short, I don't really think this summer is any worse than previous years. Of course, that's just one jerk's opinion ![]() ![]()

I think Phoenix is working on 33 days straight of 110+ degree days, breaking the old record of 28. Was there two weeks ago for business, walked out of Gordon Biersch in Tempe at 830 pm after chowing down and rental car said a balmy 105. At least it broke 100 that night, but was 97 at 8 am. Of course as they say, it's a "dry" heat.

Arrrgghh....kicking myself for not hitting it early. Sounds like a good morning. Meanwhile, it was about 150 degrees in my mom's yard where I was doing some long-delayed 'honey-do's' for her.

I had to miss the Tijeras Creek/Arroyo Trabuco loop part deux, but KeepsWhatHappens got to ride it...
I started checking the temps in RSM this morning (live updates from wunderground.com). Couldn't believe it - at 7:30 it was 91 degrees and now at 9:00 it's 100 degrees! I hope they brought a lot of water... |

I have never seen it this hot in Aliso. This is not normal. But its ok, I'll take our weather over anyone's in the world. We can't really complain too much, if its a little uncomfortable for a few days. Just got back from Texas, , we are doing ok. |
